Fall is here. The water is starting to get colder, the waves a little bigger, and will (hopefully)become less crowded. I’ve been doing more exploring and hiking in search of empty breaks. There are a lot of them if you know where to look.

Rockaway is the closest beach to me with decent enough surf.

However…

Rockaway is insanely crowded with the current covid-19 surf craze still happening, surf schools, foamies, longboards, aggro wall street jock types, surf paparazzi, influencers, drones, and marketing teams having an AM chat in the lineup about SALES.

When I can get away from all of that noise, and surf in relative peace, its great. Even better, an uncrowded peak. (I’ll show but I’ll never tell.)

I hope to be doing a lot more of this before the end of 2020. (If we make it that far)
